Utah artist Jim Wilson works almost exclusively with egg tempera (a method combining dry pigment colors with water and egg yolk). One of the old masters' favorite media, Wilson uses it to create large-scale landscape paintings, often on wood panels, which celebrate the tradition of American landscape going back to Thomas Cole and the Hudson River School of the 19th century.
